The client, a formwork company that provides renting and leasing of construction and civil engineering machinery and equipment, came to us with a briefing to create an updated logo and website to suit their company rebrand.
As a student, I redesigned the company's logo, to make it more up-to-date and in keeping with the company’s brand image, which they were happy with and wanted to keep. Cochranes Footwear approached me to update its e-commerce site's colour scheme and functionality while keeping it simple and easy to understand to appeal to a variety of target customers. The brief given to me was to provide a site that was easy to navigate for both experienced and first-time users, whilst also blending modern and memorable colour schemes and functionalities, and adding features to benefit their loyal customers.
To meet the brief requirements, I developed a website that was modern, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly. The website's updated colour scheme is more appealing and consistent with Cochranes Footwear's brand, coordinating the new logo, in-store decor and e-commerce site. The website's layout and design were made to be simple and easy to navigate, allowing customers to find the products they need quickly, whilst also incorporating modern animation without overpowering the functionality of the site.To benefit Cochranes Footwear's loyal customers, I added features such as discounts and promotions, to encourage repeat purchases.
Overall, the updated e-commerce site for Cochranes Footwear has been a huge success. The new design and functionality have improved the user experience, attracting more customers to the site and allowing repeat customers easy access to purchase their goods.
